This is an overview of the projects I have been involved in my career in the Food Travel Industry. They cover all areas I have been responsible for, from Operations, Marketing, Business Development and General Management. I love Food and I love Travel. I could not think of a more exciting industry to work in.
I am an experienced hands-on business leader who combines strategic and conceptual thinking with the ability to implement and operate with a sense of urgency.
I have successfully developed and managed Food and Beverage business and concepts in Airports and Train stations as Managing Director and CEO. I achieved excellent results at an executive level as CMO and member of the executive board of Select Service Partner, a € 2 bn. international Food Travel Company with businesses in 24 countries.
I gained multicultural experience in Europe, South Africa and North America.

Zürich Airport, Switzerland
Achievements:
- Successful Tender for the Airside Centre and Piers.
- Successful contract extension in 2010 (7 + 2 years).
- Responsible for the Brand Portfolio, development of the Business Case and Presentation of the bid.
- Responsible for the construction, implementation and operational responsibility for 11 outlets. CAPEX CHF 8 Mio.
- As Managing Director growing the business from CHF 20 Mio to CHF 30 Mio in Sales.
Geneva Airport, Switzerland
Achievements:
- Successful Tender in 2007 winning 80% of all Food and Beverage outlets.
- Responsible for the Brand Portfolio, development of the Business Case and presentation of the bid.
- Construction, implementation and operational responsibility for10 new outlets. CAPEX CHF 13 Mio.
- Restaurant Altitude mentioned by CNN as one of the best airport restaurants in the world.

- As Managing Director from 2007 to 2010 delivering the Business Plan of CHF 30 Mio Sales per year.
Achievements:
- Set up of the operational and financial infrastructure of Caviar House Airport Premium (a new company) as CEO in 2014.
- Development, implementation and operational responsibility for 7 outlets in Geneva Airport with an annual Sales of CHF 20 Mio.
- Introduction and development of the first Moleskine Café in Airports.

Vienna Airport, Austria
Achievements:
- Successful Tender in 2008 for the Vienna Sky Link terminal as Managing Director for Switzerland and Austria.
- Responsible for the Brand Portfolio, development of the Business Case and Presentation of the bid.
- Brought iconic downtown Food Retailer Meindl am Graben to the Airport alongside 2 other concepts.

JFK Terminal 4, New York
Achievements:
- Coordination of the construction of 16 outlets.
- Worked closely with the David Rockwell Group on Bar Avion (see link below).
- Implementation and operational responsibility for 16 outlets.
- Product development for all 16 outlets.
Copenhagen Airport, Denmark
Achievements:
- Part of the strategic steering committee in 2011.
- Successful bid: 7 year contact, GBP 170 mio sales.
- Responsible for the Brand Portfolio and sales calculation.
- Introduction of MASH Steak House and Brasserie le Sommelier to the Airport.

Gare de Lyon, Paris
Achievements:
- Part of the strategic Steering Committee responsible for the Brand Portfolio for the “yellow platform”.
- Change of Express Blue (below the iconic Le Train Blue) into a Montreux Jazz Café in the Main Hall.
- Montreux Jazz Café: a high volume location with 6’000 customers per day and € 8.5 Mio. sales.

- Responsible for the brand portfolio and sales calculation.
- Concept development of MUM’s kitchen. Annual Sales € 6 Mio making it the best-performing outlet in the airport. The food court was voted Food Court of the Year.

- Successful bid for a 7 year deal, 6 units, GBP 35 mio. sales.
- Secured anchor brand Goubuli which was key in winning the bid .
Sydney Airport, Australia
Achievements:
- Member of the tender team for Sydney Airport.
- The successful bid for 5 restaurants.
- The offer was awarded as the best overall F&B offer by the FAB awards.
